A granular style flavored base that contains no meat. An ideal seasoning for beans and vegetables, especially greens, cabbage and potatoes. Suggested uses include split pea soup, barbecue sauces, mashed potatoes, clam chowder, meat loaf, gravies and sauces. One pound makes five gallons of delicious old-fashioned ham broth or stock. Finished products taste like ham was used in the process—only in this case—no fat or cholesterol is present.
